Concert of the Moscow Ensemble of Soloists

“A brilliantly impressive event, providing listeners
with performances of brilliance and mastery”.

Virtuosity, and dazzling mastery of style, a unique combination of tone and timbre, and profoundly expressive performances- all combine to provide an exceptional and inspiring atmosphere that listeners find literally bewitching.

The core of the ensemble’s repertoire is the best work of Russian composers of sacred music between the 18th and 20th centuries. - Vedel’, Chesnokov, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Azeev, Mikhailyuk, liturgical music, and individual works on sacred texts.

Russian folk-song constitutes a central element of the group’s repertoire. Russian scenes are portrayed with passionate and fiery, vigour. Russian folk costumes, and a close relationship between performers and audience swiftly convey to listeners an atmosphere of folk festivities, the colours and tones of lyrical scenes, of weddings.

The ensemble “Zlatoust” (Golden Voice) also employs addresses the artistic wealth of Western European and American composers, and - with artists from various nations - have performed Bach cantatas, masses by Handel. Haydn, and Mozart, Brahms’ Deutsches Requiem” and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms”. The group’s most recent programme was devoted to Russian Romances of the 19th and 20th centuries - a unique element in Russia’s cultural history.

The Moscow Ensemble of Soloists “Zlatoust” was founded in 1990 by the young and talented conductor, Mikhail Borodyanski. Borodyanski is a graduate of the Gnessin Academy of Music, Moscow. The high quality of training and musicianship that characterizes members of the ensemble enables them to perform programmes of great technical challenge with dazzling success.

At present, the ensemble is engaged in an active schedule of concerts, and also performs at many international events, charity concerts, etc. Our singers have been cheered by audiences in Germany, Holland, France, Italy, and South Korea.
